Sustainable Rum Seminar - Agenda is published

The Nordic Alcohol Monopolies invite You to Sustainable Rum Seminar in Helsinki on 4 September 2019.

Updated on 23 August 2019: The agenda is updated. The registration is closed.

Updated on 27 June 2019: The event will be held in Valkoinen Sali, Helsinki City Center (Aleksanterinkatu 16, 00170 Helsinki). We also welcome participants from other product groups, not only rum.

We warmly invite You to a collaborative and creative day together with producers, Nordic suppliers, industry initiatives and other stakeholders involved in the global rum supply chain. The day will include lectures and inspiring workshops with focus on responsible sourcing of sugarcane for rum production. The event will be hosted by the Nordic Alcohol Monopolies.

The Nordic Alcohol Monopolies have made a strategic decision to encourage and promote sustainability and transparency in rum industry. Our aim is to prevent the possible negative impacts production of rums can have on human rights and health. We therefore like to initiate dialogue and find creative ways to collaborate on these recognized challenges.

After the day, we hope to have a joint vision of future sustainability efforts and how we can create real impact in our mutual supply chain.

The event will be held in English. Please find the agenda below and attached.
