Food recommendations
- Chicken and turkeyChicken and turkey meat is pale and lean. Light beverages usually work best with them, but the more flavour there is, the more full-bodied your drink can be.
Mutton Mutton, lambFlavoursome lamb and mutton can be prepared in many ways. It’s worth choosing a full-bodied beverage to accompany strongly flavoured meats. Lamb is slightly milder in taste than mutton, but the same beverages will work well with both.CLASSIFICATION.STEW CasserolesCasseroles are usually rich in flavour yet quite smooth due to their long cooking times. A similarly rich and smooth beverage will therefore work well with them. If your food is very fatty, you can cut it with a well-balanced beverage.Strong cheeses Strong cheesesStrong cheeses work well with comparably full-bodied beverages. If you opt for wine, it will often be sweet and maybe even fortified.

Taste
Luscious and jammy reds are medium-bodied, full-bodied or very full-bodied wines that combine ripe berry notes and pronounced jammy flavours.
You can discern notes of cherry jam, wild berry jam or dark plum in these wines. Ripe tannins add the necessary structure for pairing the wines with food.
Usage
Wines with rich flavours and aromas are a good choice when serving meat dishes.
Try with BBQ-marinated pork ribs, beef and vegetable skewers or T bone steaks.
How to serve
Red wines are best served slightly below room temperature, at 16–18°C. Chilling a bottle from room temperature to the perfect serving temperature takes about half an hour in a fridge.
