We are pleased to invite you to join the upcoming Impact of COVID-19 on the Wine Sector in Argentina and Chile webinar.

The wine sector is an important activity for many of our members and for amfori. We are aware that, like other activities, it has suffered a significant impact as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is important to mention that the first cases of COVID-19 in Argentina and Chile occurred at the peak of activity in the sector, that is, during the harvest. This left wine producers little time to adapt their operations in order to protect their workers and ensure an optimal harvest.

COVID-19 had an impact not only on harvesting activities but also on an operational level: on wine tourism, the domestic market and the international market. The wine sector, today more than ever, uses adaptation mechanisms to continue its business within the framework of the triple impact and to continue creating value for its customers and for society.

Our Network Representative for Latin America, Jimena Sanchez, will provide an overview of the impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the wine sector in Argentina and Chile, covering the challenges at the operational level and including the impact on the markets. In addition, we will have the participation of two leaders in the wine sector, Viña Concha y Toro (Chile) and Catena Zapata (Argentina) who will share their experiences and adaptation mechanisms. Finally, we will open a space for questions and exchange among attendees.
