Tavarantoimittajat, joilla on näiltä alueilta tulevia tuotteita Alkon vakiovalikoimassa pyydetään lähettämään selvitys ko. tuotteiden hankintaketjusta oheisen excel-taulukon muodossa. Alla on tiedote ja taulukon täyttöohje. Julkaisemme tiedotteen poikkeuksellisesti englanniksi, jotta se on helppo jakaa eteenpäin hankintaketjussa.

Request for supply chain information by 29 April 2022

If you are supplying products into Alko’s general selection, this is an important message for you. Alko gathers supply chain mapping information on products from North-America, Central America and South America and Caribbean.

Responsible purchasing in Alko is based on the UN's global compacts and initiatives as well as other relevant internationally recognized conventions and directives. With the focus on the procurement of alcoholic beverages, the aim is to create operative and follow-up principles through which it is possible to influence ethical practices on the beverage supply chains and draw attention to the principles of sustainable development.

Alko has changed its way of gathering supply chain information starting year 2022. We gather information in cycles from areas where we are focusing monitoring activities and investigations. All continents and risk countries will be covered at a minimum of every third year.

In order to effectively conduct due diligence and monitoring program Alko gathers detailed information behind our products. For this reason, we are sending out this questionnaire (attached) to gain better understanding on the product’s physical journey from the raw material into a bottled product.

Please fill in requested information into the attached Excel-sheet as follows:

1. Please do not change or modify the structure of the questionnaire in any way.

2. This request concerns all products that are in Alko’s general selection or has been purchased into Alko’s general selection AND has a country of origin OR area of origin mentioned above

3. Please read the instructions on the excel sheet carefully and fill in all requested information accordingly.

4. Do not forget to mention Alko’s product number. For the new products that don’t yet have a product number leave the space empty.

5. Please provide the farm information from the latest harvest.

Also note that:

• Note that we have updated the questionnaire. Last year version is no longer applicable.

• The questionnaire shall be completed and returned even if there are no changes in information since last time.

• Providing supply chain information is mandatory according to Alko’s Listing Procedure.

• A questionnaire that is uncomplete or the structure has been modified will be returned to the supplier for completion and/or correction.

• We highly appreciate if your company is able to send all products’ supply chain information gathered on one excel sheet.

This message has been published in English to be used when communicating directly with producers and their sub-suppliers.
