How do I register my company as a customer of the online shop?

To create a business account, you need:

  • A person with signatory rights to the company. We will check the information in the Finnish Trade Register.
  • Finnish personal online bank credentials. Finnish personal online bank credentials are used for ensuring the person’s age and their signatory rights to the company. Because of this, do not use the company’s online bank credentials.
  • Company’s business ID. Enter the business ID of the company you represent in the format 1234567-8.
  • At least 18 years of age.

Why do I need Finnish personal online bank credentials to sign up?

Before placing their first order, each online shop user must identify themselves on a one-time basis with Finnish personal online bank credentials. In connection with identification, we will check the age and identity of each user, as required by law.

The company or entity I represent is not in the Trade Register, how can I register?

If the information on the decision-makers in your company are not found in the Trade Register, we will open a business account on your behalf. Such operators include associations, organisations, parishes, municipalities and educational institutions. See our instructions for opening a business account.

How do I add users to our account?

The person who registers the company in the online shop will automatically become the administrator of the account. The administrator can invite other users and manager their user permissions.

To invite more users to your account:

  • Sign in to your account, click your name at the top and then go to My Alko.
  • Press the User Permissions button.
  • Press the Add Users button.
  • Complete the user information and, if necessary, select user-specific licences to serve alcoholic beverages. Please note that the email address of a new user cannot be enabled for another account. If you receive a notification that the email address is already in use, ask the person for another address or ask them to release, e.g. your professional email address for use with your business account.
  • You can assign either customer user or administrator permissions to a user.
  • The user receives an email link that will be valid for 24 hours. If the link expires, you can get a new link by pressing the Forgot your password? link in the online shop login window. You can also enter the email address to which you received the invitation directly at https://www.alko.fi/unohtuikosalasana.
  • The new user must then identify themselves in a one-time manner with Finnish personal online bank credentials.

Does the business account administrator see orders placed by other users?

No, every user only sees their own orders.

Is it possible to order from the online shop against an invoice and collect the order from a store on the same day?

A business customer registered in our online shop can pay for their online shop purchases by invoice, but it is not possible to pick up the order from a store on the same day. For an additional fee (€9), it is possible to order products in the online shop for delivery at a store at the fastest in 1–3 working days. Read more about delivery times for online shop orders.

How do I get a receipt from the online shop for accounting purposes?

The order confirmation received from your order is a receipt that is suitable for entering into the account books.

Can someone else receive my order?

When an order is delivered to a company’s address, the recipient of the order must always have an order confirmation and a valid ID to provide. The order can therefore be received by a third party if you have passed on the order confirmation to them and they have their own ID with them.

Where can I provide additional information for my order?

If you wish to provide additional information for your order, you can send the information to customerservice@alko.fi. We are happy to hear in advance of any special requirements in connection with the delivery, for example, if an access permit is required for the delivery location or there are other specific considerations to take into account at the location. Please always include your order number in any messages to us.

Which of the Alko online shop products are sold in gift bags?

You can find the products sold in gift bags in the packaging menu under the Products section of the online shop. If you wish to order larger quantities of products packed in gift bags from our online shop, we recommend that you ensure the product’s availability from our customer service.

Why does the delivery time of products vary?

Alko’s online shop has three different delivery times between 1 and 15 working days, depending on whether the product is in stock at Alko or in the supplier’s warehouse.

  • Most of Alko’s online shop products are available immediately and can be delivered within 1–5 working days of ordering.
  • If the supplier is able to send its up-to-date inventory balance information to Alko, we can promise the online shop order a delivery time of 6–7 working days.
  • We also offer products that are not directly available at the time of ordering. The availability information for these products is displayed in yellow in the online shop and our assessment of their availability is 8–15 working days. We cannot promise an exact delivery time for the products, as the availability of products varies.

Online shop orders are always delivered as complete orders, so the delivery time of an individual product affects the delivery time of the entire order.

Is there an invoicing fee in the online shop?

Yes, the invoicing fee is €11.

Yes, the invoice includes the products you have ordered.

The recipient on my invoice is incorrect. How can I change the information afterwards?

The invoice is automatically generated on the basis of the information provided and it cannot be changed retrospectively.

Is an online invoice available as an option in the online shop?

The service also offers the option to use an online invoice.

How do I report a serving licence number in the online shop?

When a company registers for the online shop, the system automatically retrieves information on any serving licences from Valvira’s based on the company’s business ID. In other words, the serving license number does not need to be entered separately in the online shop.
