Gift orders
Do you want to send products as a gift? Or order them to be collected by someone else? This is possible at Alko’s online store.
If you order products to be sent as a gift, they will be delivered to a store or pick-up point of your choice, where the recipient can collect them. This means that you can, for example, send a birthday present to someone living further away.
You place the order at Alko’s online store as usual. Please notice that you have to be signed up as a customer with your name and email address when making a gift order. When selecting the payment and delivery options, add the gift recipient’s name and their contact information. You can also write a personal message to the recipient.
When the order has been placed, the recipient will receive an e-mail message informing them of the gift and what it contains. The value of the order is not shown to the recipient. You will receive a standard order confirmation. When the order is ready for collection, the recipient will receive a confirmation via SMS and e-mail.
It is currently not possible to order gifts to a company address. Companies can order gifts to be delivered to a store or pick-up point.
Ordering on behalf of someone else
You can also order products to be collected by someone else without sending them as a gift.
When ordering products on behalf of someone else, add the recipient’s information when you select the payment and delivery options. You cannot write a personal message, and the recipient will not receive a message informing them of a gift.
When the order has been placed, both you and the recipient will receive a standard order confirmation, which will also show the price of the product. When the order is ready for collection, the recipient will receive a confirmation via SMS and e-mail.
Age limits
Gift orders are subject to the same terms and conditions as other products. Recipients of mild alcoholic beverages must be at least 18 years old, and recipients of strong alcoholic beverages (more than 22% of alcohol) at least 20 years old.
Alcoholic beverages are not handed over to people who are intoxicated or behaving disruptively. Online orders are also subject to the same policy as other purchases so as to prevent the supply of alcohol to minors.
