- BeefAlmost any red wine will work with beef, as long as it’s full-bodied enough. You can also opt for full-bodied beers with beef.
Mutton Mutton, lambFlavoursome lamb and mutton can be prepared in many ways. It’s worth choosing a full-bodied beverage to accompany strongly flavoured meats. Lamb is slightly milder in taste than mutton, but the same beverages will work well with both.Chicken and turkey Chicken and turkeyChicken and turkey meat is pale and lean. Light beverages usually work best with them, but the more flavour there is, the more full-bodied your drink can be.Grilled food Grilled foodGrilling gives food rich aromas of fire and smoke. Your beverage should be similarly full-bodied, but can also be relatively smooth.

Taste
Luscious and jammy reds are medium-bodied, full-bodied or very full-bodied wines that combine ripe berry notes and pronounced jammy flavours.
You can discern notes of cherry jam, wild berry jam or dark plum in these wines. Ripe tannins add the necessary structure for pairing the wines with food.
Usage
Wines with rich flavours and aromas are a good choice when serving meat dishes.
Try with BBQ-marinated pork ribs, beef and vegetable skewers or T bone steaks.
How to serve
Red wines are best served slightly below room temperature, at 16–18°C. Chilling a bottle from room temperature to the perfect serving temperature takes about half an hour in a fridge.
