Food recommendations
- GameGame usually has quite a strong taste, which is why game wines are primarily full-bodied reds. A richly flavoured beer is also an ideal partner to strongly flavoured game dishes.
CLASSIFICATION.STEW CasserolesCasseroles are usually rich in flavour yet quite smooth due to their long cooking times. A similarly rich and smooth beverage will therefore work well with them. If your food is very fatty, you can cut it with a well-balanced beverage.Strong cheeses Strong cheesesStrong cheeses work well with comparably full-bodied beverages. If you opt for wine, it will often be sweet and maybe even fortified.Mutton Mutton, lambFlavoursome lamb and mutton can be prepared in many ways. It’s worth choosing a full-bodied beverage to accompany strongly flavoured meats. Lamb is slightly milder in taste than mutton, but the same beverages will work well with both.

Taste
Specialities are beers that are rare or difficult to categorise into one of the generally used beer styles.
The flavours range from crisp, refreshing mild beers to full-bodied, sweet and strong beers. There are both top- and bottom-fermented beers as well as spontaneously fermented beers.
Usage
Some of the specialities are local traditional beers, and others are brand-new products. Examples of specialities are lambic, fruit beers, smoke beers, Trappist beers, flavoured beers, saison and sahti.
Try a Trappist beer with black label Emmental, kriek (cherry beer) with brie, smoke beer with BBQ-seasoned skewers or sahti with sauna-smoked ham.
How to serve
The serving temperature of specialities ranges from well-chilled to slightly chilled, i.e. 7–14°C. Ask one of our expert salespersons about the perfect serving temperature!
